FILTER provided a solution for the design and installation of steam boilers, along with all necessary equipment to ensure optimal operation for a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of innovative and biosimilar biologic medical product technologies for clinical development and large-scale production. The generated steam is used in critical production processes, supporting the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.
The solution included the design and installation of two new gas-fired steam boilers, each with a capacity of 299 kW and integrated economizers for enhanced energy efficiency. A Bosch UM-B 460 steam boiler was paired with OILON GP-50 M WD33 natural gas burners to ensure reliable steam production.
To support the boilers, a 0.5 m³ feedwater tank with feed pumps was designed and installed to supply water to the system. Additional equipment included pumps, valves, pipe ancillaries, and an integrated control system to guarantee efficient operation. A comprehensive steam and condensate system was also developed to manage the generated steam and optimize energy recovery.
The project scope included project management, installation, commissioning, and automation, ensuring the seamless integration of all systems to deliver reliable steam production for the company’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
