The client is a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplier. Within the scope of the project, a pumping solution was designed and implemented to ensure external firefighting water supply for a ship berth area. The solution is related to the construction of an LPG pipeline and equipment intended for the transfer of liquefied petroleum gas from vessels to onshore collection and process facilities.
Two submersible water supply pumps, LOWARA Z10150 04-L8W, were installed in an underground pump station. The pumps were connected to the existing firefighting pipeline, which is equipped with above-ground firefighting monitors (water cannons).
Pump operation is controlled by an above-ground automatic control panel equipped with integrated variable frequency drives (VFDs), ensuring efficient, safe, and flexible system operation.
The nominal capacity of the installed pumps is Qₙₒₘ = 300 m³/h at an operating pressure of P = 10 bar, providing sufficient water supply for external firefighting requirements in the ship berth area.
Within the project scope, the supply and installation of the submersible water supply pumps were completed, an automation and control panel was built, and the pumps were connected to the existing pipeline system. System installation and commissioning were carried out, the automation solution was implemented, and full project design services were provided.
