Our recent project focused on developing a technological solution for the collection and transportation of drinking water from city water supply networks to the water terminal in the port area. As part of this project, we constructed three water storage reservoirs with a total capacity of 90,000 m³, designed to be filled with high-quality drinking water prepared by the municipal water utility. FILTER took the lead in developing the technological solution, delivering essential equipment, and creating a control system to ensure the efficient filling of these reservoirs and the seamless transfer of water to the port terminal for transportation by ship.
Key highlights of the project include:
- Installation of five 350 kW pumps with ultra-premium efficiency IE5 synchronous reluctance motors,
- Each pump provides a flow of 1,000 m³/h with a pumping pressure up to 10 bar(g) and when operating in cascade, can fill the ship’s tanks with a total flow of up to 4,000 m³/h
- Reserve control system for all equipment, managed by two parallel-working SIEMENS PLC programmable controllers
