The project addresses inefficiencies in steam boilerhouse feed water treatment, specifically aiming to reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and minimize blowdowns. FILTER solution involved the renovation of the existing RO (Reverse Osmosis) 03-9 equipment. This renovation includes the implementation of FILTER technology, enhancing the system with new control SE 30 and PLUS sections. The PLUS sections incorporate additional membranes for processing concentrate water more efficiently. By upgrading to the renovated RO system approximately 50% less concentrate is generated and the system consumes less water at the main membrane inlet. The projected payback time for the investment is approximately 1 year, demonstrating significant cost savings and efficiency gains over time.
