FILTER designed and implemented a fully automatic fire pump station for a staircase manufacturing facility in Lithuania. The station is designed to supply the required water flow and pressure to the facility’s fire protection system in the event of an emergency.
The required flow rate and pressure are defined by the fire protection system design. Based on these parameters, FILTER selected the pumping equipment and auxiliary components needed to ensure that the system can provide the required water supply when activated.
Correct pump selection is particularly important in fire protection applications, where the system must deliver the specified flow and pressure reliably when needed.
The fire pump station operates automatically and also includes a diesel-driven fire pump. This allows the station to continue operating independently of the electrical supply and maintain fire protection in the event of a power outage.
FILTER’s scope included equipment selection, engineering, automation, installation and commissioning of the fire pump station.
